Katandra is a non profit organisation dedicated to the care of the Australian Wildlife. Most people just assume that nature will take over when a wild animal is sick or injured but thats not true. For the past eleven years Katandra Wildlife Rescue Organisation have been helping the Australian Wildlife with the help of the local Veterinary Clinics ,and donations from the community.
They are a self funded organisation and all the money raised goes towards the treatment for the animals and enclosures for the birds and other rescued Wildlife.
Margaret Porter and David Hawkless are the proud founders of the Katandra Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation facility in Warnbro, Western Australia and it was their love and passion for animals and birds that inspired them to help the injured and sick Wildlife of Western Australia. Margaret and David are on call 24/7 to rescue and care for wildlife.. yes it may be tough with the lack of sleep and the constant two hourly feeding sessions but at the end of the day, they would not have it any other way. They have a dedicated team of volunteers helping them care for the Wildlife and together they make a great team and even better carers.
